NRG wins Fragadelphia 18
Nick "nitr0" Canella's squad won the American Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament Fragadelphia 18. The competition took place from December 5 to 8 in Kansas City, Missouri.
In the final, NRG defeated Sharks with a scoreline of 3:0 (13:8 on Vertigo, 13:4 on Inferno; NRG had a one-map advantage for passing through the upper bracket). The event was held in a Double Elimination format (without a preliminary group stage) with the participation of 27 rosters.
For the victory, the team received $15,000. The runner-up earned twice as little. Another $2,500 was secured by the BOSS players, which placed third at the tournament. Fragadelphia 18 featured a total prize pool of $25,000.
Note that at the end of last month, the North American club NRG announced the addition of Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott to its Counter-Strike 2 lineup. The roster currently occupies 66th place in HLTV ranking.
