Esports World Cup 2025 in CS2 announced

Organizers of the large-scale Esports World Cup festival have announced that a Counter-Strike 2 tournament will be held as part of the upcoming event in 2025. As before, the competition will be organized by ESL.

The tournament will take place from August 20 to 24 next year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The prize pool of the event will amount to $1.25 million – this is a quarter of a million dollars more than at the tournament in 2024. The winners will take home $500,000.

16 squads will compete at Esports World Cup 2025 in CS2, invites will be issued in June based on Valve's official ranking.

Note that Esports World Cup 2024 was held from July 17 to 21 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The event featured a prize pool of one million US dollars. In the final, NAVI bested G2 with a scoreline of 2:1. Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy was chosen the most valuable player of the tournament according to HLTV.
