G2 eliminated from IEM Rio 2024; HEROIC advance to playoffs

G2 have finished their journey at IEM Rio 2024. In the lower bracket of Group B, the team suffered a 0:2 defeat against Eternal Fire – 4:13 on Anubis, 6:13 on Mirage.

At the same time, HEROIC advanced to the Group B final after a 2:0 victory against Astralis – 13:9 on Mirage, 13:7 on Ancient. This guaranteed the team a slot in the final stage of the event.

Tomorrow, October 9, Astralis and Virtus.pro will face off in the lower bracket. HEROIC, in turn, will fight for a ticket to the semi-finals in a matchup against Vitality.

Today's playday of IEM Rio 2024 will end with two matches in the lower bracket of Group A: Complexity will face MOUZ, while Liquid will compete against FaZe.
