Train, cancellation of operations and chicks – data-miners share their findings after new CS2 patch

According to unofficial information, Valve may completely abandon the concept of operations in Counter-Strike 2. Instead, in the future, Valve will release events like Battle Pass, similar to Armory. This was reported by Maxim "Gabe Follower" Poletaev.

Poletaev came to this conclusion after analyzing the changes in the game files after the release of today's patch. In particular, the line "Operation reward" was renamed to "Reward". Note that the last operation in CS took place from September 22, 2021 to February 22, 2022.

Moreover, a data-miner with the nickname Aquarius shared with the community another discovery that he made in the Counter-Strike 2 code after the release of the Armory update. Mentions of Train appeared in the depths of the client. Aquarius concluded that Valve is working on updating the map for its eventual inclusion in the game.

Finally, another data-miner found references to sound files in the CS2 files that hint at the appearance of chicks in the game. Perhaps the developers are planning to add them to the game as pets along with chickens – a feature that Valve has been working on for some time.
