Wildcard to play with stand-in at ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024
North American team Wildcard will not compete with its full roster at the upcoming ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 tournament in the United States.
One of the squad members, Swede Love "phzy" Smidebrant, will miss the competition due to visa issues. Wildcard's coach Vincent "vinS" Jozefiak announced this via his X social media account. Pole Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz will play as a stand-in for the team at the event.
Note that Smidebrant joined Wildcard in July of this year along with Tim "susp" Ångström. With him, the team competed at ESL Pro League Season 20, where they took the penultimate place.
ESL Challenger Atlanta 2024 will be held from October 4 to 6 in Atlanta, USA, with the participation of eight rosters. The event will feature a prize pool of $100,000. The winner will also secure a ticket to ESL Pro League Season 21. The organizers recently unveiled the seeding of teams in the group stage.
