Imperial finds replacement for HEN1

Brazilian esports club Imperial has completed its Counter-Strike 2 roster: Santino "try" Rigal has become a new member of the team. The organization announced this via its X social media account.

The 19-year-old Argentine AWPer has been on 9z's bench since last year – the esports athlete departed the team's starting five in October of 2023 due to health issues. Thus, try has not played a single official match in CS2.

Rigal replaced Henrique "HEN1" Teles, who was recently benched by Imperial. HEN1 has represented Imperial since July of last year. The Brazilian recorded an average rating of 1.15 during his time with the squad.

Imperial's updated roster will debut today, July 17, at ESL Challenger League Season 48 South America. Note that the team placed last at FiReLEAGUE 2024 Global Finals in Buenos Aires, and also secured a ticket to ESL Pro League Season 20. Currently, they occupy 28th place in HLTV ranking.

Current  Imperial's lineup looks as follows:

 Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
 João "felps" Vasconcellos
 Kaiky "noway" Santos
 Lucas "decenty" Bacelar
 Santino "try" Rigal

 Rafael "zakk" Fernandes (coach)
