Rumors: G2 may buy out M80 player

European esports club G2 is rumored to be in talks with M80 to sign Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa. This was reported by Dust2.us.

According to the sources, the North American organization requested a six-figure sum for the buyout of its player. M80 has already started looking for a replacement for malbsMd – it was reported that the club has contacted several teams with requests.

The esports athlete from Guatemala has been competing for M80 since July of last year. Previously he represented LOS, TeamOne and 00Nation. At tournaments in 2024, malbsMd recorded an average rating of 1.32 – this is the best result in the team.

It is unknown who exactly will be replaced by malbsMd on the G2 roster if the parties agree on a transfer. Note that G2 competed with a replacement at the recent IEM Dallas 2024: instead of Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, Jake "Stewie2K" Yip participated in the tournament. The team ultimately secured first place. The roster also did not make it to BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 in full force.

 G2 are now:

 Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
 Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
 Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
 Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
 Nemanja "nexa" Isaković

 Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas (coach)
