Monte returns ryu to academy roster

Lithuanian esports athlete Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas has departed Monte's main team. The Ukrainian organization reported this via its social media accounts.

However, ryu does not part ways with the club, but will continue to compete for the academy roster, which he represented for four months before getting promoted. He was part of the main team for less than two months and managed to show himself at two LAN tournaments – Global Esports Tour Rio 2024 and ESL Pro League Season 19.

Monte CEO Dmytro Vovk explained this decision by saying that Glušauskas lacks the experience to compete at the highest level, although he has performed very well. At the same time, the head of the club stated that, contrary to the expectations of the community, the new player will not be Vladyslav "Kvem" Korol, since his transfer from IKLA is very expensive.

Notably, earlier rumors surfaced about a possible replacement of Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen. According to insider Vlad "harumi" Radvilovich, Monte is interested in the candidature of Preasy's former member Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen.

Monte's next match is scheduled for May 16 in the quarter-finals of the online tournament Elisa Invitational Spring 2024. The European squad will also soon travel to the USA to participate in IEM Dallas 2024.

 Monte are now:

 Владимир "Woro2k" Велетнюк
 Сергей "DemQQ" Демченко
 Шимон "kRaSnaL" Мрозек
 Джек "Gizmy" фон Шпрекельсен

 Сергей "lmbt" Бежанов (тренер)
