KaiR0N-: "I was very motivated when Jame and dastan said that Outsiders believed in me"

Outsiders' newcomer Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin commented on getting into the team of the reigning Major champions. The 18-year-old Russian gave an interview to the Virtus.pro club, which owns the squad competing under the neutral tag.

According to KaiR0N-, he accepted the offer from Outsiders without hesitation. One of the key factors in the decision was the support from the in-game leader and coach.

To be honest, I wasn't thinking for long. It was an obvious choice. <...> I was very motivated when Jame and dastan said that Outsiders believed in me. It was important for me. I joined a team with much more skill and merit than I've got. I feel confident because they don't think I am worse than them. They are doing their best to teach me things, without an intention to offend me. It was important and I appreciated this.

Anashkin also said that at the end of 2021, he had the opportunity to continue his career in Team Spirit, who brought him in as a stand-in for DreamHack Open November 2021. At that time, the young player had to refuse to play on a professional team, as he was completing his studies at school and could not stay in the training camp for a long time.

I was invited to Team Spirit, but the invite got cancelled quickly, the team was preparing for a long boot camp. I can't remember how long, 2-3 months. But I went to school. It was my last year. I didn't risk to going all-in for the game. And instead of going to the boot camp, I finished school. After that, I got transferred to Team Spirit Academy. Where I and this organization parted ways. <...> I graduated from school with a gold medal.

KaiR0N-'s debut for Outsiders will take place at IEM Katowice 2023, which is scheduled for early February. Being the winners of the last Major, the squad received an invite directly to the group stage of the prestigious championship.
