"It's map-dependent". rain speaks about changing M4 type in the middle of a match

FaZe player Håvard "rain" Nygaard gave an interview to HLTV.org after the opening match at BLAST Premier World Final 2022, in which he spoke about his approach to choosing the main CT rifle. The Norwegian esports athlete explained that during the game he changed the M4A1-S and M4A4 depending on his role on a particular map.

So far I'm trying to use it depending on the map. I feel like on Nuke it's really nice to have the silencer because you can spam the cross smokes and do a lot of damage. I don't want them to notice where I am all of the time, so that's why I have it there. Same with Inferno, I can spam banana smokes without them seeing my tracers. On Ancient it's all close range for me on B site, if you're spamming they know so it doesn't really matter. So yeah, it's map-dependent.

According to rain, changing the M4 type between maps in a match might as well become a meta in the professional scene after the recent M4A1-S nerf.

I actually think it's going to stay map-dependent now. Of course some people prefer the A4 because of the many bullets, but I think it's very balanced now in terms of which one is actually better. I think the A1-S has its good sides and the A4 has its good sides, it's very good at the moment.

FaZe kicked off their BLAST Premier World Final 2022 campaign with a victory over G2 and today, December 15, at 12:00 MSK, will go up against Liquid in Group A's first-place decider. You can follow up on the tournament on our website via this link.
