m0NESY: "Anubis is not ready for competitions right now"

G2's AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov spoke in a live stream on his Twitch channel about Anubis, which was added to the competitive map pool after the latest major update. The Russian esports athlete believes that this map is not yet ready for competitive play.

Dust2 was a decent map, but it's cool that Valve is changing anything at all. Honestly, I was surprised that they added Anubis. This map is not ready for competitions right now. I'm being serious. I don't know if anyone will pick it at BLAST Premier World Final 2022. It's possible, but I'm not sure. We play this map. It looks good, but it's actually raw.

Soon after Anubis' addition into Active Duty, many issues have been found on the map. In particular, players had noticed that the corners of some objects have a transparent texture that prevents grenades and bullets from coming through. As of now, Valve has yet to react in any way to the dissatisfaction of the game community.

The first big event to feature Anubis in the map pool will be BLAST Premier World Final 2022, which will take place on December 14-18. The tournament will see the eight best teams of the year according to BLAST compete for $1 million in prize money.
