Dexerto: k0nfig to stand in for Heroic at BLAST Premier World Final 2022 [Updated]

Update (16:05 MSK): Heroic have confirmed on their Twitter account Dexerto's information about k0nfig standing in for stavn at BLAST Premier World Final 2022. It is reported that the main player was allowed to go on early leave before the off-season.

Former Astralis player Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke will play for Heroic at BLAST Premier World Final 2022, Dexerto reports, citing its own sources.

According to the information published, k0nfig will be brought in as a stand-in. He is expected to replace Martin "stavn" Lund for the duration of the upcoming tournament, but the reasons for the possible absence of Heroic's main player have not been disclosed.

In October, k0nfig left Astralis after a scandalous incident. The club cited Wienecke's personal circumstances as the official reason and did not comment on them further, but it is worth noting that the contract was terminated shortly after the player's fight in Malta during ESL Pro League Season 16, where he suffered a complicated ankle fracture and was out of action for an indefinite period.

BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will take place on December 14-18 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Fighting for $1 million in prize money besides Heroic will be NAVI, FaZe, Outsiders, Vitality, G2, OG and Liquid.

Heroic will supposedly have the following lineup for BLAST Premier World Final 2022:

 Casper "cadiaN" Møller
 René "TeSeS" Madsen
 Rasmus "sjuush" Beck
 Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke
