"It hit us hard". Jame comments on Anubis addition to map pool

Outsiders' in-game leader Dzhami "Jame" Ali spoke about the preparations for BLAST Premier World Final 2022, where for the first time at the top-tier level of the CS:GO pro scene teams will be able to play on Anubis, recently added to Active Duty. The captain noted in a live stream on his Twitch channel that the change in the competitive map pool hit his team hard.

December's BLAST? Of course, it's a priority, but it will be hard. We're exhausted [after winning the Major]. I don't know how much time it takes to recover emotionally and physically, but we don't have that time at all. There is a new map. If the addition didn't happen, I would not launch [CS:GO] for another three days and start to get in form after that. You know what you have, you might fix something somewhere but overall you will not change anything. Everyone will play using old strats because BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022 did not let the teams practice.

Now we need to switch to Anubis from our 100% prepared Dust2. It hit us hard because most of the top teams don't play Dust2. It was the most unpopular map so it was easy for us in terms of the map pool. We have to practice Anubis from scratch and check it for bugs ourselves. On the other hand, I already have experience under my belt. This is what, the third new map after Vertigo and Ancient. It will be easier.

BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will take place from December 14 to 18 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Besides Outsiders, taking part in the $1 million tournament will be FaZe, NAVI, Liquid, Heroic, G2, OG and Vitality.
