MIBR announce chelo departure

Brazilian player Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes is no longer part of MIBR, the organization has announced on Twitter.

Cespedes has played for MIBR since early 2021. During this period, the squad regularly took part in big tournaments, yet could not achieve any significant results.

According to Brazilian media, chelo will continue his career in Imperial, where he will replace Lincoln "fnx" Lau. It was reported that the player's transfer fee would amount to around $200,000.

The reports also had it that the vacated spot in the MIBR roster would be taken by Henrique "HEN1" Teles. The signing of the AWPer, who is now a free agent, is expected to be announced shortly.

MIBR's first matches after the end of the summer break in the professional scene will take place at the open qualifier for the upcoming Americas RMR tournament. The qualifying event is scheduled to kick off on August 15.
