nexa: "OG tried to get YEKINDAR, but his buyout is somewhere around $1 Million"

In an interview with Pley.gg, OG's in-game leader Nemanja "nexa" Isaković said that a potential transfer of Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis from Virtus.pro would cost the European organization about a million dollars. However, he noted that the acquisition of Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar and Maciej "F1KU" Miklas was hardly cheap either, but they were the best candidates available on the transfer market.

Basically, we tried to get YEKINDAR, but his buyout is somewhere around $1 Million – so that was a no-go. We tried to get jks, but he wasn’t interested in joining us. And then from the others, NEOFRA and F1KU were the best choices from the other available players. <…> They were not cheap, we still paid the buyout that was needed to pay. I know a lot of people and analysts speculated in maybe we could get YEKINDAR, maybe we could get jks. But as I said, we couldn’t afford YEKINDAR and jks was pretty much not interested.

Earlier, nexa has already spoken about the reshuffle in OG. He then admitted that the club's management was interested in signing the star Latvian from Virtus.pro, as well as Justin "jks" Savage, but for various reasons, the deals fell through and further selection was carried out among young hardworking players.

Currently, OG are taking part in BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022, which marked the debut of the renewed roster. In the opening match, the team defeated NAVI 2:1. You can follow up on the tournament on our website via this link.
