Dexerto: nawwk demands NIP to pay up to $300,000 for stickers released in 2020

Former NIP player Tim "nawwk" Jonasson demands that the Swedish organization pay for the stickers released for the RMR tournaments' participants ahead of the canceled Major ESL One Rio 2020, Dexerto reports.

According to Jonasson's contract, the details of which have been unveiled, the club is required to pay the players 83.33% of the proceeds from team stickers and 100% of the money from signature stickers. According to various estimates, the total payout per player ranges from $200,000 to $300,000.

The source claims that NIP do not consider these conditions fair, since Valve, according to the club's management, released sticker capsules primarily to maintain the financial condition of esports organizations during the coronavirus pandemic.

The report includes the words of NIP COO Jonas "calc" Gundersen, written by him in a group chat. He stated that the organization did not pay money for the stickers in order to keep the players' salaries with no cuts and maintain its normal work.

Also, the Dexerto authors found out that along with nawwk, the current NIP players Fredrik "REZ" Sterner, Hampus "hampus" Poser and Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora are also dissatisfied with this state of affairs. The trio does not speak out on the situation publicly, but has reached out to the Counter-Strike Professional Players' Association (CSPPA) for help.
