Valve fixes smoke grenade bug seen at PGL Major Antwerp 2022

On the night of May 16, Valve released a CS:GO update that fixed the smoke grenade bug, which was earlier used by G2's AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.

The Russian used the bug in the match against Imperial at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where he lined up a smoke grenade in a way that it blocked the opponents' smoke and created a one-way view to the center of Mirage from the window.

The bug caused lots of controversies in the professional CS:GO community. The players demanded that PGL bans the usage of the bug at the Major as soon as possible, since the "m0NESY's grenade" breaks the game mechanics on Mirage, and can also be used on other maps.

Despite the reaction of the players, the PGL Major's organizers approved of the bug to be used in their tournament. In turn, the participants of the Major, with the help of the Counter-Strike Professional Players' Association (CSPPA), came to a gentleman's agreement not to use this bug in the future.
