device: "I am not burned out and I believe that in 2022 I will be able to return to my peak form"

Despite not having the best individual performances and lack of success with the team, AWPer of NIP Nikolai "device" Reedtz believes that next year he will be able to reach his peak form of the Astralis era. The eminent Dane told jounalists about this at a press conference on the IEM Winter 2021 playoffs.

The parts quoted are the translation from our Russian website.

I didn’t burn out and I believe that in 2022 I will be able to return to my peak form, the one that I had in 2018-2019. It’s nice to know that this year I didn’t play shitty, although sometimes I felt that way. Now, the lack of consistency is the most upsetting aspect. This is what I try to work on.

It is important for device to find not only individual but also team consistency. Like his teammate Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, Reedtz hopes for the best results of the team in 2022.

Our peak was after the victory at IEM Fall 2021, when NIP was the second in the world ranking. But it was a tournament exclusively for the European region. Of course, these achievements do not satisfy our team. Now that NAVI are an unquestionable leader, other teams may have a good tournament, yet completely fail the next one. It is important to find consistency and to believe in your own team. Winning tournaments is also very important. es3tag has already said that next year we want to win several championships. I hope we will be able to play at the Major and, perhaps, even win it. These are our own expectations. The expectations of other people outside of the team are not of much concern to NIP.

At the last press conference device also denied the rumors about him returning to Astralis, confirming his commitment to NIP. The AWPer's statements can be found on our website via this link.
