Astralis extend contract with Xyp9x until 2025

Astralis have announced the extension of the Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth's contract on their official website. The new agreement of the 26-year-old Dane is to last the next four years.

In a comment to the club's press office, the player noted that he decided to stay with Astralis despite several offers from other teams. According to the esports athlete, one of the key factors that influenced his choice was a thorough conversation with the organization's management about the future of the CS:GO roster.

Højsleth has been representing Astralis since the team was established in 2016. During this time, he became the winner of many big championships, including four Major tournaments.

In August of this year, however, the player publicly expressed his willingness to leave Astralis and consider offers from other clubs. His previous contract was going to expire in early 2022.

Thus, Xyp9x became the second current player of Astralis to sign a new long-term agreement with the organization. Earlier, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander extended his contract with the Danish club for a three-year period.
