friberg: It is difficult to win on the tier-2 stage because all the squads there have an unpredictable style

Adam "friberg" Friberg, the in-game leader of Dignitas, shared his opinion on the current state of affairs on the professional tier-2 CS:GO scene on the HLTV Confirmed podcast. According to the experienced Swede, due to the unpredictability of the opponents' actions, his team often experiences problems in matches with rosters that are not as eminent.

If you are used to playing against tier-1 teams, as f0rest did before, the transition to tier-2 will be quite difficult. The way those teams act on a server... It is difficult to win on the tier-2 stage because all the squads there have an unpredictable style. Some always act together, simply going for a trade. Some have lurkers all over the map, who sit still in the corners and do nothing all round long. It is a big change for many in our lineup.

Professional CS at tier-2 and tier-3 levels is highly competitive. In addition, there are many teams from the CIS, and they are simply incredible now. In part, I knew what to expect, because I have already been in a similar situation with Heroic. Back then we also had to make our way to each tournament through qualifiers. Hopefully, now at Dignitas we are just getting toughened up by going through such tests, and soon we will be able to reach the level of the top teams.

It should be reminded that during the year of the current roster's existence, Dignitas participated only in two tier-1 tournaments: Flashpoint 2 (7th-8th place) and cs_summit 7 (9th-10th place).

Recently, the Scandinavian team qualified for IEM Fall 2021 Europe, which will take place from September 29 to October 10. In the group stage, the squad will face Vitality, OG, Sprout, ENCE and MAD Lions.
