ESIC opens investigation into the involvement of Heroic players in coaching bug abuse

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has started an investigation into Heroic players’ possible awareness that Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, the former coach of the team, was using the coaching bug. The Commission announced the start of the investigation on its official website.

The proceedings were set off by HUNDEN’s information, who had previously stated that there was evidence that some Heroic players were involved in the spectator bug scandal. ESIC is currently examining the information provided by the specialist.

Earlier, Petersen shared some of the available evidence in an interview with Danish journalists. In particular, he published a conversation with former Heroic player Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen, based on which one can come to the conclusion that all the members of the squad knew about obtaining information on opponents through the bug. Rene "TeSeS" Madsen was also accused of abusing the vulnerability in the game.

It should be reminded that during the period when HUNDEN was using the bug mentioned, the Heroic roster featured Martin "stavn" Lund, Casper "cadiaN" Moller, and Rene "TeSeS" Madsen, who represent the Danish team at present, as well as the current OG player Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen and recently signed by MAD Lions Johannes "b0RUP" Borup.
