HUNDEN: "Some Heroic players knew I was using the coach bug"

Former Heroic coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen stated that his ex-teammates knew about him abusing the spectator bug at the beginning of 2020. The specialist told about this in an interview with the Danish sport.tv2.dk.

HUNDEN’s words came in response to his conflict with Heroic and an ongoing investigation by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC). Earlier, the organization accused the coach of sharing the team’s tactics with third parties.

Some Heroic players knew I was using the coach bug. I don’t want to mention their names because I think it’s their own business. I’m so screwed that I have nothing to hide anymore.

Heroic CEO Joachim Haraldsen denied the former coach’s allegations and drew attention to the fact that Petersen's ban was confirmed by a thorough ESIC investigation, and the specialist himself claimed that he abused the bug without other players knowing it.

Let us recall that in September 2020 HUNDEN got a one-year ban from ESIC. The Commission proved that he was getting an unfair advantage over his opponents during 10 rounds against Astralis at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 and in 13 rounds against Team Spirit in the #HomeSweetHome: Week 5 semifinals.

It should also be added that during the period when Petersen was using the spectator bug, the Heroic roster featured Martin "stavn" Lund, Casper "cadiaN" Moller, and Rene "TeSeS" Madsen, who represent the team at present, as well as the current OG player Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen, and recently signed by MAD Lions Johannes "b0RUP" Borup.
