FURIA replaced honda with a player from the academy

A 17-year-old FURIA player André "drop" Abreu is now the part of the main Brazilian roster, where he replaced Lucas "Honda" Cano. The organization’s representatives shared this information with Globo Esporte.

According to FURIA, the team will continue searching for a fifth player. At the same time, drop will get everything needed for growing to become a full-fledged member of the roster in the future.

Let us recall that honda joined FURIA as a sixth player in January this year. Together with the player, 7-8th place at BLAST Premier Global Final 2020 was the best achievement of the roster.

Currently, drop is at a bootcamp in Warsaw with his team. The newcomer may debut at ESL Pro League Season 14, but in order for this to happen, the tournament operator must approve the transfer that was made outside the deadline. If, however, ESL does not approve the changes in the roster, the team will appear in the prestigious championship with a coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira.

From September 1 to 5, Entropiq, Gambit, NIP, Liquid and TeamOne will be the opponents of the Brazilians in Group D. Only top three teams will get a spot in the playoffs.
