ptr retires as ESL Pro League Season 14 approaches

American Peter "ptr" Gurney, who plays for Bad News Bears, announced the end of his professional career in CS:GO on his Twitter. The announcement was made two weeks before the start of a major tournament ESL Pro League Season 14, where the North American team will play.

ptr has spent the last seven years on the CS:GO competitive scene. During that time, he has represented more than a dozen clubs, most notably Luminosity, Counter Logic Gaming, NRG, Complexity and Dignitas. It is currently unknown who will replace Gurney on the Bad News Bears roster for ESL Pro League Season 14. The team will begin play at the prestigious event on August 16 and will face Heroic, Astralis, Vitality, Team Spirit and ENCE during the group stage.
