BIG put XANTARES on transfer list

BIG has announced they've removed Ismailcan "XANTARES" Durtkardes from the main lineup. The club's official website reports that the Turkish eSports athlete has been put up for transfer.

Statement Daniel Finkler, BIG CEO
For over two and a half years now, XANTARES has worn the BIG jersey. He has delivered outstanding performances as a player on a world-class level, and he deserves our sincere gratitude and respect.
On behalf of BIG, we would like to thank XANTARES for his services and achievements as a player and wish him all the best for the future.
As of now, XANTARES will no longer be in the starting lineup and will move to the transfer list. We are currently considering incoming transfer offers in close cooperation with XANTARES and will announce updates as soon as we have found an appropriate solution for all parties.

XANTARES has been playing for BIG for the last 2.5 years. During that time, he helped the team win championships such as DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020, DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, DreamHack Open Summer 2020 and cs_summit 6. It's also worth noting that BIG topped the HLTV.org rankings last summer and held the top spot for six weeks.

The German club said it would help XANTARES with the search for a new team. According to Turkish media, the 25-year-old could join the new Turkish squad in the future, where he will play alongside Ozgur "woxic" Eker.

Durtkardes, who was left out of the starting five, will be replaced by Danish Nicklas "gade" Gade, who was previously introduced as a BIG newcomer. The renewed roster will debut at ESL Pro League Season 14, which starts for the Germans on August 27.
