Astralis acquire young Lucky from Tricked

Danish organization Astralis announced on their official website the transfer of young talent Philip "Lucky" Ewald, who was acquired from Tricked. The clubs did not disclose the value of the deal.

- "I have a lot to learn at Astralis. From their extensive playbook to everything going on outside the game. It will be a new feeling to be at a place where people have strong opinions about everything, we do, but I’m super excited to get started. Most of all I want to show the many Astralis fans that I’ll give it everything to help the team and my teammate." The promising player commented his transfer

According to Astralis athletic director Kasper Hvidt, the rookie will be part of the team's core roster. The executive also noted that the 18-year-old eSports athlete could temporarily replace Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, who is expecting to become a father this autumn.

 - His technique and game sense will contribute to the team and create new room for the other players.

- Philip is a young player who has shown immense potential. He has not been tested at a top-level yet so it wouldn’t be fair to him or the team to compare him to anybody else, however, he has a lot of what we have been looking for and we have a strong belief, he will demonstrate his skills from the get-go.

- If you look at Philip’s stats it’s not a mystery why so many teams have been watching him. His technique and game sense will contribute to the team and create new room for the other players.

- It’s a pleasure to see how talent development in Denmark continues to deliver and to experience how we can work across organizations to create a foundation for the future. Thank you to Tricked for their cooperation in this matter and in general, Hvidt comments.

Lucky's contract with Astralis will start on August 1. And a week later on August 9, the squad will gather for the first time after the summer break on the competitive scene to start the preparations for the big ESL Pro League Season 14 tournament, which is scheduled to kick off on August 16.
