s1mple breaks ace record for the single event

NAVI superstar Alexander "s1mple" Kostylyev made four aces at  IEM Cologne 2021, thus setting a new record of the professional stage. Prior to that, no player had killed all opponents four times in a round at a single major tournament.

Kostylyev scored his fourth ice at the LAN event in Cologne on the first map of the Grand Final against G2, when he used his AK-47 to kill all of the European opponents at point A.

S1mple was able to score the most aces on any single tier-1 tournament, beating such esports athletes as Yegor "flamie" Vasilyev, Timothy "autimatic" Ta, Robin "flusha" Ronquist, Nikola "NiKo" Kovac, Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovac and Håvard "rain" Nygaard. All of them had three aces each.
