device joined NIP

Astralis star Nicolai "device" Ridtz has been signed by Ninjas in Pyjamas. The transfer was announced on social media of the Swedish organization. He will replace Tim "nawwk" Jonasson in the team who has failed to blossom during his time in the Ninjas camp.

"Leaving Astralis is tough, to say the least. The boys will always be like family to me, but this Covid era has left me thinking a lot; where do I see myself when it all goes back to normal?

"I’ve lived in Sweden for some time now, speaking the language, and I’m really hyped about this young and exciting NIP project. To join one of the most successful organizations, where so many legends have played, inspires me. Just see what LeBron James achieved with the Lakers for instance, and with the Major in Stockholm coming up, bringing that home to Sweden is my number one goal." device said.

The four-time major champion with the Astralis has a three-year contract with NiP. Since 2015, the device has been present among the top five players in the world every year by HLTV.org.

As for core lineup of Astralis, the organization has made an announcement that Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen will be the team's fifth player in DreamHack Masters Spring next week.

Current NiP lineup:

 Fredrik "REZ" Sterner
 Nicholas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora
 Hampus "hampus" Poser
 Eric "ztr" Gustafsson
 Nicolai "device" Reedtz

 Bjorn "THREAT" Pearce (coach)
