Woro2k: "VAC-ban was not mine."

The player of the new MAD Lions squad Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk during the "Respawn" podcast has spoken about the situation how he managed to prove his innocence of the VAC ban on one of his former accounts. According to the Ukrainian sniper, the Steam account was hacked, which was confirmed by Valve employees.

VAC-ban was not mine. The last time I played on this account was in 2016 or 2017. Well, let's just say when I first started playing on FACEIT, I wanted to have a level 10 with a very cool stat so everyone would think I was a cheater and stuff. I ended up creating smurfs and trying to achieve my goal in 80 games. On that account I got banned for smurfing on FACEIT - I didn't know it was punishable. Three years later a VAC ban was received on that account.

That account had been hacked, and I managed to prove it to Valve by getting an email from them that I could participate in all tournaments. I emailed about 150 people from Valve. Before that, they even kicked me off the FPL-C and told me to wait for the letter. I got a response in the fall of 2019. I don't know why, but they emailed me back in two weeks, and there are people who have to wait one or two years. I even searched for Valve employees on Steam and added them as friends so they could somehow speed things up or just email them about the situation. All in all, I was spednding a lot of time on this.

Woro2k signed with the Spanish organization MAD Lions at the end of last month. His teammates are inexperienced players between the ages of 19 and 21, who will play under the leadership of former Virtus.pro and Envy coach Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński.
