OG has moved NBK- to the bench

OG Esports has made an official announcement and moved Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt from the main roster, thus confirming the previously reported information by different media. It is noted that this decision has been made following long discussions within the OG CS:GO team.

Nathan has left a statement on Twitter as well, explaining the reasons for this decision and shared some thoughts on his future plans.

The OG adventure comes to an end!

We went through a lot and reached decent success but ultimately we didn't agree on how to consistently perform at the highest level. We have all tried to bring the group and OG to the highest level the way we thought was right and this is what I will keep from this roster and this past year and a half.

Working with so many different backgrounds and approaches made me a better person and player despite all the challenges that appeared during this adventure, and I have my former teammates and OG to thank for that.

With that said, I am very confident in my abilities to keep competing in T1 CS and in what I can bring to any roster both in and outside of the game. I started and I will keep working with a sports psychologist and performance coach to keep improving on a daily basis and be the best teammate possible in the future. CS and winning trophies have been my #1 priority in my life for the past 11 years and will continue to be.

For the right project, I feel that I’m ready to take the lead (IGL) and a lot of  responsibilities if needed, but that’s not a necessity to me and I can adapt.

I do not have any specific plan as of yet and I'm still contracted with OG but I’m very eager to bounce back and help a team to reach new heights.

If you are interested to talk to me for any project or content creation, contact my agent (twitter.com/Jerome_Coupez or [email protected])         or myself directly           ([email protected] or DM).

See you (hopefully) soon :)

  • Nathan.

NBK- has represented the OG since the team has been formed back in December 2019. The European roster's best result has been reaching the grand finals of IEM New York 2020 for Europe and Flashpoint 2 during this period.

“Nathan is an incredible competitor and teammate. For 15 months he gave his everything to OG and this project and we are very proud of what we achieved together. I want to personally thank him for being great to work with, and for always going the extra mile with the staff, with content and with anything I ever asked of him. You are a true professional inside and outside the server and any team would be luck to have you.Thank you Nathan”
