zonic is the best coach according to The Game Awards 2020

Astralis mentor Danny "zonic" Sorensen won The Game Awards 2020 in the Best Coach category. The other candidates in this discipline were Lee "Zefa" Jae-Min (LoL), Dae-hee “Crusty” Park (Overwatch), Raymond "Rambo" Lussier (Call of Duty) and Fabian "GrabbZ" Lohmann (LoL).

Last year zonic received the similar award. As for this year, Astralis under Sorensen won tournaments such as ESL One Road to Rio, ESL Pro League Season 12 and DreamHack Masters Winter 2020.

CS:GO was also nominated at The Game Awards 2020 in the categories of Best eSports Game, Best eSports athlete (Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut), and Best Tournament (IEM Katowice 2020 and BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Finals), but lost out to League of Legends in each category.

Recall, The Game Awards is an annual award that celebrates achievement in the PC gaming industry. Winners are determined by a mixed jury vote (90%) and a public poll of fans (10%).
