Interview with DignitasVIE hallzerk

Dignitas sniper Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli commented on the latest changes in the line-up, when the veterans Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Richard "Xizt" Landström were replaced by inexperienced Scandinavians Haris "H4RRR3" Hadzic and Ludwig "HEAP" Alonso. In his interview to the official website of the organization, he noted that the team got the right players and became much stronger in terms of firepower.

Hi hallzerk! How are things going within the new team?

hallzerk: Things are going great! The practice is going great, the new guys are doing well, and the feeling is just good within the team right now.

How have these last few weeks been since dropping GeT_RiGhT and Xizt, the tryout period, and finally the practice with the new players?

hallzerk: These last few weeks have been a new experience, trying to get new players in and getting the right people is not easy. The buyouts are really high right now in the CS:GO scene, so you have to think about that right and if you eventually buy out someone and then it does not work out... it was hard to get the right players, but I think we absolutely nailed it! I love the new guys, they're amazing! The practice has been going well for the past few weeks with them, we're playing decent there as well!

How do you compare both lineups?

hallzerk: I would say we have a lot more firepower right now and we play more as a team right now, and everyone is on the same page during the matches. Not saying we weren't before, but things are clicking better right now.

Where do you feel the new one can be better?

hallzerk: I think that, compared to before, we can play better as a team and doing things together during the matches. Things just get easier, we can play with each other, trade more effectively, do better overall.

You’ve already played with H4RR3 in the past. In fact, f0rest told me you were the one saying that “he was the guy you needed”. What made you say that?

hallzerk: H4RR3 is a great guy! And he's not bad at CS either (laughs), amazing team player, good aim and he is a player that does not care about himself, he just thinks about the team, he doesn't care about his stats or anything. Having a player like that, that doesn't care about himself, is really important to be able to succeed.

And then there was HEAP, who was a player with less competitive experience. In what ways did he stand out?

hallzerk: His aim, of course, and just the way he plays, the way he communicates. He has really good communication. It's amazing. He's probably one of the best in the team at that.

H4RR3 said you’re working to be a more aggressive team than the previous one. How are you working towards achieving that?

hallzerk: In the other lineup we played more solo, I would say, and more defensive. Now we're playing more as a team, playing together, and trying to more tactically outplay our opponent.

Is there something else you’re changing from the way you worked with the previous lineup?

hallzerk: I wouldn't say in practice, since we're doing it the same way as we did before. Honestly, we're not doing anything that different from before, except playing more aggressively.

How do you feel about the future of the squad?

hallzerk: I think it's going to be great, I think we have a lot of potential together and if we are able to show it in officials, I definitely think we can upset a lot of teams and prove people wrong!

And are the new players nervous for FLASHPOINT?

hallzerk: I don't think any of us are nervous, to be honest. We have practiced really well in the past few weeks and we are confident going into FLASHPOINT!

Do you want to leave a few words to the fans who are eager to see you back in action?

hallzerk: Thank you so much for all the support throughout the past lineup and this new one, and I hope you guys don't stop cheering us up!
