BLAST changed their prizes for the upcoming events

Tournament organizer BLAST revised the system of prize money distributed among the participants of their events. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the unstable financial situation of the professional scene, the company decided to pay more money for participation, compensating for this by reducing the overall prize fund.

Blast Premier esports CEO Robbie Douek noted that many of the eSports organizations have felt the negative impact of COVID-19, and this reorganization will help them get extra money for entering one of the tournaments. At the same time, BLAST has twelve partner teams, which are given direct invoices for each event: MIBR, Natus Vincere, Astralis, Liquid, FaZe, Vitality, NiP, 100 Thieves, OG, G2, Evil Geniuses and Complexity.

BLAST representatives announced that the new system of prize payment will be effective from 2021. Their nearest event will be BLAST Premier Fall Series 2020. In North America, it will take place from October 23 to 25, and in Europe - from October 29 to November 4.
