ALEX is no longer part of Vitality

Former Vitality in-game leader Alex "ALEX" McMikin has made the official announcement in his Twitter account that he finally parted ways with Vitality. It is unknown whether the contract was terminated or the player was bought out by another organization.

As of today, i'm no longer part of @TeamVitality. It has been an incredible ride, from finding out I'll be playing for Vitality while boarding a plane to the Caribbean for Christmas to taking over the IGL role, making 11 straight playoffs, 6 finals & 4 trophies.
I would like to thank Vitality for always making sure we had what we needed in order to succeed, for always supporting us no matter what time of day, i've seen videos of them watching us play in the offices and believe me it's an incredible thing for a player to feel like they have a family behind them at all times. Thank you Nicolas, Fabien, Caro, Flo, Arnaud, Mickaël, Gwendoline, Bastien, Theo, FX, Félix, Jason, Chris, Julien, Sine, Laurie, Claire, Sylvain, Angeline, Laura, i'm sorry if I forgot anyone.

I'd also like to thank all of my teammates & staff members : Dan, Mathieu, Céd, Richard, Nathan, Alexandre & Matthieu for allowing me to grow as a player & a person, for trusting and believing in me during the hard times at the start and especially for all the good memories along the way. To the last Mathieu (MaT), I wish you all the success in the world, i'm sorry we couldn't work together for longer, you're an incredible person, and you're doing an incredible job for the team, I can't wait to see all of you when it's safe to go back to events!

The person who taught me the most is Rémy, he is an incredible coach, an incredible person and a good friend. Who would've thought when we first met all those years ago, that one day we would be standing side by side on the biggest stages the world has to offer. I wish you, your wife & beautiful son nothing but the best now, and for the rest of your lives.

A special thanks to all of Vitality's supporters, an incredible bunch of truly passionate people, who were willing to travel 24 hours to come see us play one game, they were with us through thick & thin, always sending me messages whether we won or lost and i'm grateful for all of that. I will be a Vitality Ultra forever.

Merci, Alex. ??

By the way, how many UK players is too many for one team?

Back in March this year, the British announced a career break due to fatigue from the busy schedule. Since then there have been numerous rumors regarding his possible transition to such teams as FunPlus Phoenix, Gen.G, c0ntact, Cloud9 and FaZe, but this information is not been confirmed at the moment.

ALEX joined Vitality in December 2018. He led the team to victories as captain at Charleroi Esports 2019, cs_summit 4, ECS S7 Finals and EPICENTER 2019.
