Astralis may gave up on BLAST tournaments

Nikolaj Nyholm Anders Hørsholt, CEO of Astralis Group, said that the club will not participate in BLAST events unless the tournament operator refuses to cooperate with the "city of the future" NEOM, supported by Saudi Arabia. His words are quoted by the Danish edition of politiken.dk.

“We always want to solve this kind of problem directly with our partners and give them a fair chance to solve this in the right way. At the same time, however, we have made it clear that we can in no way stand up in a context where our brand, players or partners are connected with companies of this type, and we naturally expect Blast to find a solution, "says Anders Hørsholt .

The partnership between BLAST, one of the largest tournament organizers in CS:GO, and NEOM became known in late July. BLAST CEO Robbie Dawk called the deal, which involves helping a city under construction develop e-Sports, a record-breaking event in the company's history.

The partnership between BLAST and NEOM later criticized commentators and analysts from the English-language studio, including Harry "JustHarry" Russell, Frankie "Frankie" Ward, Hugo "Hugo" Byron and Vince Hill. They said they would stop working with BLAST until ties with Saudi Arabia were severed.
