Astralis will miss summer RMR tournament

Astralis decided to miss the second rating tournament, which will take place from June 22 to July 5 under the auspices of Beyond The Summit. This was told by the sports director of the Danish club Casper Hvidt in a comment to the portal 1pv.fr.

"We can confirm we have decided not to participate in BTS, which was added rather late to the calendar as a part of the Major Qualifiers. This is due to our general planning around the team and the way we would be punished for substituting players. Unfortunately it would make no sense for Astralis to play this tournament under the given circumstances."

At the end of May, Astralis replaced Lucas "gla1ve" Rossander and Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth, which would mean a loss of 960 out of 2,400 points in the RMR rankings if the team took part in cs_summit 6 with an updated line-up. Any further changes, including the return of the above players, will cost the Danish lineup another 20% of the total points.

Astralis is currently ranked number one in the RMR rankings, outpacing G2 by 720 points. The team will keep the current balance if they apply to the third ranked tournament, which will be held in autumn, the same lineup with gla1ve and Xyp9x.
