DreamHack will host closest Open tournaments online

As a result of our continuous monitoring of the global pandemic situation, discussions with health officials and authorities, and out of respect for the safety and well-being of our community and staff, DreamHack Valencia, DreamHack Montreal and DreamHack Hyderabad have been rescheduled to next year.

Originally meant to be hosted at each of those festivals, these DreamHack Open stops will be moved to an online format under the name DreamHack Open Summer in order to fulfil their promise of bringing the CS:GO community the world's best action. All tournaments will still each offer a $100,000 prize pool, also adding an additional day of matches to ensure all matches are played with a best-of-three format. The affected stops are as follows:

DreamHack Valencia (originally planned for Jul 3 – Jul 5)

Moved to an online format and turned into a regional European tournament, with an additional day of matches. The tournament will run between July 2 and July 5.

DreamHack Montreal (originally planned for Sep 11 – Sep 13)

Moved to an online format and turned into a regional North American tournament, with an additional day of matches. We are currently finalizing exact dates for this tournament, hoping to host it close to the regional European tournament replacing DreamHack Open Valencia.

DreamHack Hyderabad (originally planned for Oct 30 – Nov 1)

Moved to an online format and split into two regional tournaments for Asia and Oceania, with an additional day of matches. The prize pool of $100,000 will be split between the two regions. We are currently finalizing exact dates for this tournament, hoping to host it close to the regional European tournament replacing DreamHack Open Valencia.
