Cloud9 completed ATK roster transfer

Cloud9 has completed the acquisition of the ATK Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, according to multiple sources close to the organization. An official announcement is expected next week.

DBLTAP was first to report discussions between the ATK players and Cloud9 in early December. Multiple sources explained that talks went well, which ultimately led to their acquisition. Cloud9 does not have a Counter-Strike team following the departure of Timothy "autimatic" Ta, Kenneth "Koosta" Suen and Daamian "daps" Steele to Gen.G earlier last month.

The only player from Cloud9’s most recent lineup still under contract is Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas, who has expressed his interest in joining a new team elsewhere. Also under contract is Tyson "TenZ" Ngo as a streamer and Maikil "Golden" Kunda Selim, who is still technically on loan to Fnatic.

ATK placed 7-8th place at the Season 10 ESL Pro League Finals in December, which was their best international result of the year. Over the course of the tournament, they were able to beat North and G2 Esports in best-of three matchups. Their only losses came at the hands of the tournament winner Mousesports, who beat ATK in both a best-of one and a best-of three.
