ECS S8 Finals will be hosted on the latest game version

FACEIT Director of Esports Roald Van Buren announced that the eighth season Esports Championship Series LAN-final will be played at the latest patch, the release of which changed the cost of weapons SG553, FAMAS and Galil, and standard models of players. He stressed that the decision was made after consultations with the Association of Professional Players in Counter-Strike (CSPPA) and the participants of the upcoming tournament.

The latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update, released November 19, introduced Operation Shattered Web, new weapon skins and player models, as well as gameplay changes such as the increased cost of the SG553, cost savings and improved accuracy of FAMAS and Galil automatic shooting, and improvements to Vertigo.

The ECS S8 Finals will take place November 28th to December 2nd in Arlington, Texas. Eight strongest teams in the online part of the championship, four from Europe and North America, will compete for a prize pool of $500,000.
