BLAST Pro Series to be Held in Los Angeles

RFRSH Entertainment has announced that its fourth event of the 2019 BLAST Pro Series will be a Counter-Strike Global Offensive tournament held in Los Angeles during the summer.

The tournament will run from July 12-13 and will be hosted at the University of Southern California's 10,000 seat Galen Center arena, which has previously held the League of Legends World Championship finals.

This will be the series' second stop in North America, after the first event in Miami. Like other BLAST Pro Series tournaments, there will be six teams competing for a $250,000 prize pool.

There are still four more host cities yet to be revealed by RFRSH Entertainment, the Danish company who also helps run the operations of Astralis. In total, there will be eight events. So far the circuit will include stops in Miami from April 12-13, Madrid from May 10-11, and Los Angeles from July 12-13. These events compare to last year, where there were only three host cities: Istanbul, Copenhagen, and London. The first BLAST Pro Series event began in 2017 in Copenhagen.

Other major CS:GO events in 2019 recently announced include the ESL Pro League Finals that will take place in France. Cobblestone has also been replaced with Vertigo in matchmaking.
