Renegades Replace Mousesports at StarSeries i-League Season 7

Renegades will take mousesports' spot in the StarSeries i-League CS:GO Season 7, StarLadder announced on Wednesday.

Mousesports was one of the 16 teams that would participate in the StarSeries league. Mouz currently does not have a full roster after the team benched Chris "chrisJ" de Jong, Martin "STYKO" Styk and coach Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov. Hence, the team cannot participate in StarSeries and needed to be replaced.

Renegades have participated in the previous three StarSeries events, with a 5-8th place finish as their highest placing. The latest roster built around Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai and Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas is expected to perform well and has already exceeded expectations by earning Legends Status at the IEM Katowice Major.

StarSeries i-League S7 will be held in Shanghai, China. The tournament will run a Group Stage from March 30 to April 4 as a 16-team Swiss system format, with each match as a best-of-three maps. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs from April 5-7 in a single-elimination bracket, with all matches as a best-of-three save the grand final, which will be best-of-five. The prize pool is 500 thousand dollars, with first place taking 250 thousand.
