Astralis is the First Team to '16-0' an Oponent at a Major

Astralis beat MIBR Saturday in a 16-0 sweep at FACEIT London, making it the first team to go 16-0 at a Major.

The Brazilian team MIBR came into the match with high hopes after recently beating out G2 Esports and mousesports at the FACEIT Major, but its most recent match against Astralis ended in a disastrous 0-16.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive match was played on Dust2, one of the most popular maps in CS:GO history. MIBR has claimed that Dust2 is one of its strongest maps, and had the stats to match, boasting nearly a 75 percent winrate on the map at LANs. The recent match proved otherwise, as Astralis sprung back from its loss to Team Liquid Friday to beat MIBR.

Astralis's momentum is at an all-time high, and it will need that momentum if it hopes to take home a part of the $1 million prize pool. The FACEIT London Major started on Sept. 5 and is making its way towards the New Champions Stage that will start on Sept. 20 and continue throughout the weekend.
