s1mple joins FaZe
Esports club FaZe has officially announced the addition of Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev to its roster. The statement was published on the organization's X social media account.
The Ukrainian esports athlete will compete for FaZe on a loan deal from NAVI. Kostyliev will play for Finn "karrigan" Andersen's squad at the upcoming IEM Dallas 2025 and BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Counter-Strike 2 tournaments.
s1mple replaced Helvijs "broky" Saukants, who was benched by the club today. The Latvian has been representing FaZe for over five years; Saukants' average rating over the past three months is 1.04 (in 53 maps).
Note that Oleksandr has been on NAVI's bench since October 2023. At the end of last year, he competed for Falcons on loan – with him, the roster lost the Europe RMR for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, while the Ukrainian departed the team.
FaZe placed 5th-6th at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1, entered the top 8 at IEM Melbourne 2025, secured third place at PGL Bucharest 2025 and placed 9th-12th at BLAST Open 2025 Season 1. At the moment, the team occupies eighth place in Valve's world ranking.
Current FaZe's lineup looks as follows:
Håvard "rain" Nygaard
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
David "frozen" Čerňanský
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev (loan)
Filip "NEO" Kubski (coach)
