Virtus.pro to miss IEM Dallas 2023 due to visa issues

ESL took it to Twitter to announce the change in the team list for the tournament, as fnatic replaced Virtus.pro, which had been previously invited based on the ESL rating.

The Bears' press service clarified that the roster will not be able to travel to the US, where the event will play out, due to difficulties with obtaining visas for some players. At the same time, the club did not consider the possibility of competing with stand-ins.

fnatic received an invite to IEM Dallas 2023 for their result in the closed qualifier for Europe, where they placed fourth. According to the tournament regulations, the team is the first contender for a replacement in case any representative of the European region cannot participate.

IEM Dallas 2023 will play out from May 29 to June 4. At the tournament, sixteen participants will compete for a $250,000 prize pool and a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023.
