groove: "We need time. Just wait and Cloud9 will show results"

Cloud9’s coach Konstantin "groove" Pikiner assured in an interview with the club's press service that after replacing Timofey "interz" Yakushin with Timur "buster" Tulepov, the roster will definitely succeed in 2-3 months’ time.

We need time. Just wait and we will show results. In my opinion, we have very high potential, and we will be in top 5 this year for sure. It's all about time. In current CS:GO, if you make a lot of changes you have to spend two or minimum three months just to show good results and we will do it.

The interview with Pikiner was recorded following Cloud9’s disastrous performance at IEM Katowice 2023. At the concluded event, the team was eliminated in the group stage after losing to NAVI and IHC.

After the unsuccessful run at the LAN tournament in Poland, Cloud9 went to Malta to compete at ESL Pro League Season 17, where they advanced to the playoffs as their group’s leaders. Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov’s squad consecutively defeated Evil Geniuses, G2 and Outsiders, which secured them a ticket right to the quarterfinals of the prestigious league.
