Cloud9 back in HLTV.org's top 10

HLTV.org's weekly team ranking update saw Cloud9 moving up three places to No. 10. Given the lack of changes among the leaders, the rise of the Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov-led squad is the most significant change in the rankings.

Cloud9's climb into the top 10, from which they were ousted at the beginning of the year following the replacement of Timofey "interz" Yakushin with Timur "buster" Tulepov, was granted by their successfull performance in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 17. The team went undefeated in Group A, securing a ticket to the quarterfinals through victories over Evil Geniuses, G2 and Outsiders.

Outside the top 10, the ranking has not changed significantly. Some progress was made by BIG, Eternal Fire, 9INE, GamerLegion and Movistar Riders.

HLTV.org's ranking is updated weekly and primarily takes into account the results of the last two months. Teams' achievements over the past year are also considered, with the number of points for past successes decreasing each month.
