G2, 9INE, HEET and Apeks qualify for Europe RMR
The first winners of the closed qualifiers for the European RMR tournament have been determined. Tickets to the final qualifying event for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 have been booked by G2, 9INE, HEET and Apeks.
G2 and 9INE advanced to the RMR event after securing three consecutive wins in qualifier A. After emerging victorious in best-of-ones against PGE Turow and LDLC, the European squad defeated Tricked in a best-of-three – 16:10 on Inferno and 16:7 on Nuke. In turn, the Poles came out on top of Mixfits and Eternal Fire, moving on to beat Into the Breach in the spot-deciding match – 16:10 on Vertigo, 10:16 on Anubis and 16:13 on Ancient.
The current results of the closed qualifier A are:
HEET and Apeks went through qualifier B unscratched. The former started the qualifier with victories over forZe and OG, followed by a triumph in their game against GamerLegion – 13:16 on Overpass, 16:13 on Inferno and 16:14 on Ancient, while the latter, after a flying start versus iNation and Falcons, got the better of 500 – 16:7 on Inferno, 9:16 on Mirage and 16:3 on Ancient.

The third round of the closed qualifiers will conclude on the night of February 18, when the following pairings face off for survival: PGE Turow – Copenhagen Flames, IKLA – B8, EYBALLERS – HONORIZ and forZe – ECSTATIC. The outcomes of these confrontations will determine the seeding in the fourth round, which will see those with 2-1 and 1-2 records in action.
