jabbi is clear leader in IEM Katowice 2023 MVP race

Heroic's Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard is a front-runner for the IEM Katowice 2023 Most Valuable Player award by HLTV.org, the consultant of the reputable CS:GO site Petar Milovanovic reported via Twitter.

Before the start of the event's final match between Heroic and G2, Nygaard, who became the best player of the group stage, is now ahead of his competitors in most statistics. In particular, the Dane's average rating is 1.38.

jabbi's closest pursuers in the MVP race are a quartet of Justin "jks" Savage, Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov and Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač. As noted by the HLTV.org consultant, the G2 representatives will only be able to overtake the Heroic player if one of them significantly stands out in the grand final.

The Heroic – G2 matchup takes place today, February 12, kicking off at 18:00 MSK. The event's winners will be determined in the best-of-five series and will bring home $400,000 from the total prize pool of $1 million.
