SANJI: "My contract with Virtus.pro is ending soon. An interesting stage in life is coming"

Uzbek esports athlete Sanjar "SANJI" Kuliev said on Instagram that his contract with Virtus.pro will expire soon. He added that in the future he does not want to limit his career only to esports.

My contract with Virtus.pro is ending soon, which I am very happy about because during this time I have been reflecting a lot and thinking about what to do next, as we are changing and finding new goals and interests in life. I would like to say that for me personally, an interesting stage in life is coming, where I would not want to rush and choose the best outcome for myself. Anyways, I don't want to limit myself only to esports.

SANJI played for Virtus.pro since the end of 2019, when the club bought him and his teammates from AVANGAR. He helped the team win such big events as Flashpoint 2, cs_summit 7 and the CIS RMR tournament IEM New York 2020.

Last fall, before the start of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, VP replaced the Uzbek player with Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev. Subsequently, SANJI did not take part in any official matches.

A few months ago, Kuliev announced that he began searching for a new team. According to rumors, he was trialed in Cloud9 but Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov's team eventually chose Timur "buster" Tulepov as a reinforcement.
