Report: Evil Geniuses consider replacing CeRq

Bulgarian esports athlete Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov may leave Evil Geniuses ahead of the next competitive season, HLTV.org, Dexerto and Dust2.us report.

According to the information published, CeRq has not been included in the Evil Geniuses roster for BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023, which will open the calendar of this year's big events. That said, Dust2.us sources told them that the team decided to replace their AWPer.

It is unclear at the moment who will take Dimitrov's place at least at the start of the season. The journalists have learned that for the upcoming BLAST tournament Evil Geniuses, besides the rest four players from the starting five, have also listed Wesley "viz" Harris, Jerric "wiz" Jiang and Jeorge "jeorgesnorts" Endicott, who are part of the club's two other CS:GO rosters.

CeRq has represented EG since September 2019. The team's greatest achievements during this time were victories at such top-tier championships as ESL One New York 2019, StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 8 and BLAST Premier Spring 2020 American Final. In 2022, EG did not show any significant results, while the Bulgarian AWPer averaged only a 0.91 rating at the highest level.

According to the reports, Evil Geniuses have submitted the following lineup for BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023:

 Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
 Timothy "autimatic" Ta
 Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov
 Jadan "HexT" Postma
